This month, Head of Property Management Francesca, sat down with one of our new landlords to find out why they chose Townends to let their property and what they like most about our service.

Why did you choose Townends to let your property?

“I chose Townends over other agents on my high street as their branch was easily accessible for me and I found the staff friendly and welcoming from the beginning. They answered my initial valuation request promptly and when the local Branch Manager came to value my property, I liked that they also took the time to understand my personal situation and find me the service level that would suit best. I am a first-time landlord and really appreciated having a local, friendly face to help me through the process.”

Did you like that you could offer your property to the market with a zero deposit option?

“One of the things that attracted me to Townends was the additional services and products they offer. The zero deposit option really increased the number of tenants enquiring about my property. Initially I was sceptical about this product so didn’t advertise it but after a week I decided to add it on and could really see the increased interest.”

What is your relationship like with your property manager?

“My property manager is Katy and she has been really helpful and keeps me informed about any issues my tenants have with my property. I also really like that I can login to my online landlord portal and monitor maintenance issues as my tenants report them as well as see my statements. Katy is great at notifying me when repairs have needed to be carried out to ensure my tenants are happy and my property remains in working order.”

How would you rate our service out of 10?

“I would definitely give Townends a 10/10 for service quality. I have had nothing but a pleasant experience dealing with branch and the property management team. They also have a really helpful Accounts team who have been able to answer my questions regarding tax and reimbursements.”
